Amanda F. Hall, Ph.D.
Amanda Hall, Ph.D., joined the Division of Community Engagement in the fall of 2017 as the interim assistant director of the Office of Service Learning. In this position, she helped to create new and innovative ways to support service-learning class instructors and their community partners as they build mutually beneficial partnerships.
With more than a decade of community engagement and service-learning experience — first as a middle school science teacher — Hall is an expert in curriculum design and teaching. She has served as program coordinator of the VCU Service-Learning Practicum Partnership, teaching a graduate-level service-learning practicum course for pre-service educators. Hall also served as program director for the MLK Collaborative Partnership Initiative within the VCU School of Education, in addition to several other leadership and teaching roles at VCU and within the community and K-12 school systems.
