Nannette Bailey is the community partnership coordinator for VCU ASPiRE. In this role, she helps hundreds of ASPiRE students annually to supplement their education with meaningful co-curricular experiences in working with local organizations in communities throughout Greater Richmond. Through her work, she has cultivated and maintained partnerships with over 40 community-based agencies.
Bailey also teaches a neighborhood research class at VCU.
Prior to her position at ASPiRE, Bailey served as the program administrator at Virginia Commonwealth University for the Center on Health Disparities. Prior to that, she served as the senior training coordinator for the Harvard School of Public Health/Division of Public Health Practice. She started her career in the non-profit sector as the executive director of the Carver Promise at G. W. Carver Elementary School, which is located near the VCU campus.
In addition to working at VCU, Bailey sits on the board of Art for the Journey. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and a member of the Richmond Chapter of the Continental Societies, Incorporated.
