Stephanie Odera is the associate director of Graduate RVA, a Lumina and Kresge Foundation grant initiative within the Center for Community Engagement and Impact. Graduate RVA is a collaborative partnership between Virginia Commonwealth University, John Tyler Community College, Reynolds Community College, and Virginia State University focused on improving post-secondary completion within the central Virginia region with an emphasis on underrepresented minority students.

As a social work practitioner, Odera has over 10 years of experience in the field, which includes working as a school social worker in Richmond City Public Schools and as a CPS Specialist II for the Virginia Department of Social Services. Immediately prior to joining the Center for Community Engagement and Impact, Odera served as an assistant professor in teaching within the VCU School of Social Work, where she remains affiliated faculty.
