Spring 2023 Programming

Unlike the community partner afterschool program, students do not need to be part of an existing community partner program to participate in our tennis development programs.

*Classes will be held rain or shine, with indoor tennis related activities on rain days.* 

Youth Zone Programs

Our goal is to make it easier to find a program that is right for your elementary-aged child, and to keep them in the game with multiple program, lesson, and team tennis options. Find your Zone based on your child’s age below!

Description: Designed for beginner to intermediate tennis players learning the basics of strokes and how to rally through introductory drills and games. Weekly small group tennis clinics based on age and skill level. (12 spots per class.)

Schedule:

February 13 - May 12, 2023

Red Zone (2nd-3rd grades): Monday's from 5:30-6:30 p.m. 

Orange Zone (4th-5th grades) - Wednesday's, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Cost: $140

Family Pickleball Club (NEW!)

What pairs better with tennis than pickleball? Introducing our brand new, family pickleball club. For rising 3rd-12th graders and parents can sign up too! We will provide all equipment and instruction for the program, working toward a family play day at the end of the session.

Schedule:

March 7 - April 25, 2023 (May 2nd & May 9th added for rain days)

Pickleball Club (3rd-adults): Tuesday's 5:30 - 6:30pm 

Cost: $75 per person *A $50 deposit required to register online please e-mail rhoneyrb@vcu.edu to inform how many participants will attend from your family. Remaining balance is due at the first session via credit card or check*

Policies and Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first serve basis and based upon financial need. If awarded, the enrollment cost is reduced by 50%.
