VMP Seeks Director of Programs

Virginia Mentoring Partnership seeks a director of programs to provide leadership, expertise, management and coordination to its program services. The deadline to apply is Feb. 10, 2015.

The director of programs is responsible for designing curriculum and delivering training and technical assistance to mentoring program staff and volunteer mentors; increasing the quality and capacity of mentoring programs by implementing Quality-Based Membership and supporting implementation of the VMP VISTA Program; supporting the development of new mentoring programs by planning, conducting and implementing outreach and training activities in areas of high need; reading and synthesizing research trends, and program developments in the fields of youth mentoring and positive youth development. This position will supervise part-time training staff and VISTA members, staff the Program Committee of the Board, convene the Mentoring Providers Council and support the growth of the Affiliate Member Network.

Based in Richmond, Va., VMP provides training and technical assistance to mentors and mentoring programs to increase the quality and quantity of mentoring for Virginia's youth.
