CE Research Series: "DAIR" to Engage: Trust and Tailored Recruitment Strategies for Inclusive IDD Research

This session will highlight DAIR-recommended strategies for respectfully engaging co-researchers and participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Participants will explore practical tools, co-developed recruitment resources, and approaches to building authentic, reciprocal partnerships that support equitable participation in research.

Girls, Unlimited Book Talk with Dr. M. Couvson

Join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking book talk with Dr. Monique Couvson, author of Girls, Unlimited: How to Invest in Our Daughters with More Than Money. Drawing on decades of research and lived experience, Dr. Couvson challenges us to rethink how society invests in girls—particularly those from historically underserved communities—and offers a powerful framework for nurturing girls’ unlimited potential through education, mentorship, emotional wellness, and equitable opportunities.

Community Engagement Showcase

The Community Engagement Showcase is an inaugural event highlighting outstanding community-engaged projects from across the university. This annual showcase celebrates the innovative work of faculty and staff who are making meaningful contributions through partnerships, research, service, and outreach.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of initiatives that exemplify how academic knowledge and community collaboration can drive positive social change. From local service-learning programs to regional engagement efforts, each project featured demonstrates the power of university-community partnerships in action.
